Tasty Weekend
This weekend I have had a few fun experiences centered around food and I am not complaining!
1. Friday night a great friend cooked a unique and delicious dinner for us. This friend has grown SO much as a cook and her apple chicken/peas and carrots was a welcome surprise!
2. Sunday I was invited to a delicious Sunday Supper with friends. Lasagna, bread and great discussions were some of the items on the menu.
3. Then I baked a pineapple upside down cake (see above) on Sunday evening.
As Alton Brown would say. I had some Good Eats!

Big News
I could start out with the Big News that I now have a blog! I must say I am excited to have this creative outlet to share with whoever might want to read it.
The real Big News is actually the reason why I am starting my blog Teach.Read.Cook.Learn. I am very excited and proud to announce that yours truly will be an official Masters student at the University of Georgia starting this summer!!!!!! (insert applause and cheers)
It has been a long journey, actually starting in 2006. However, God opened a door for me at UGA again and I just feel this great excitement about the whole idea. Picture it if you will....
ME:
living in graduate housing
Strolling around UGA's gorgeous campus
buried deep under a pile of books
Meeting a brand new set of friends and associates
getting used to a new city and state
Having the time of my life!
Keep checking back in. I hope to use this blog as a way to keep in touch with amazing friends and also share my unique perspective on life especially the themes of teaching, reading, cooking, and learning. Also, feel free to leave comments:) If you know me at all you know I am BIG on communication!
To Be Continued!
